U2 Performs on the Roof of the BBC

U2 played a "surprise" concert yesterday up on the roof of the BBC. I have never seen the band go into such a promotion frenzy before the release of a new album. This past week they have been appearing everywhere in the UK. This coming week they conquer North American Late Night television appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman for all five nights! I was even watching the sports highlights on Sportscenter this morning and guess who's music they were using to show the Canadiens beat the Flyers in overtime? I think this band feels like they have a lot to prove..... in fact Bono in recent quotes has been going on and on about how this band is a contemporary of The Killers, Coldplay, Kings of Leon. Personally, I think it's great the band has so much desire not to become static. This group of millionaires could easily build up their old-age security accounts by touring on a Greatest Hits tour. Unfortunately, I feel like they are trying too hard too convince the world that they are still relevant... I just want good music - which in my opinion is always associated with the band U2. It may take some time to grow on me, but rarely am I disappointed with the end result, just hope I can afford to see them.
